Starlike® EVO · Areas of application

You can use this acid-resistant two-component epoxy grout for installing and grouting ceramic tiles and mosaics with a joint width of 1 to 15 mm. Whether indoors or outdoors, in dry or wet areas. It can be used without hesitation on floors with integrated underfloor heating. It offers outstanding performance especially on high-quality marble or mosaic projects. If you have any questions, our Litokol expert advice is available to you free of charge.

Key technical data for practical use

Pot life approx. 60 minutes at 23 degrees and 50 per cent relative humidity, shorter in warm conditions, longer in cool conditions
Washing window: first wash after 10 to 20 minutes, final cleaning of the fresh surface within 60 minutes at the latest using clean water, white felt and a sponge. For visible epoxy haze after curing, we recommend Starlike® Care on floors and Starlike® Wall Care on walls, generally from around 24 hours onwards.
Ready to walk on: after approximately 24 hours
Fully loadable and chemically resistant: after 5 days, pools after 7 days
VOC very low, low odour

Tile & covering types suitable for Starlike® EVO

Single-fired and double-fired ceramic tiles for walls and floors. Indoors and outdoors. Joint widths 1 to 15 mm.
Porcelain stoneware, including large formats and thin ceramics such as Laminam. Slabs up to 320 x 160 cm.
Ceramic mosaic and glass mosaic. For transparent glass mosaic, use Starlike® Color Crystal for a neutral joint appearance.
Suitable for terracotta and clinker. Very highly porous types such as Cotto Toscano are excluded.
Natural stone such as marble, granite and other stones

We came across Tiamont while looking for the perfect grout for our glass mosaic tiles (the Glimmer range from Sicis). I have rarely experienced such great customer service, which is why I am writing a product review for the first time in my life.

The product: The translucent epoxy grout adapted perfectly to the different colours of the Glimmer tiles. The description ‘colour-adaptive’ is therefore 100% accurate. According to our tiler, it was also great to work with. Full marks for price / performance / innovation.

The service:
Mr Celebi puts his whole heart into his work and really becomes part of the project! We simply sent a few photos describing our problem during the renovation and had the right solution / product in no time. Mr Celebi advised us professionally, with sound expertise, while being incredibly friendly and accommodating. We mainly used the website’s chat function and were always contacted immediately. So far, all I can say is that everything looks good.
We have not yet been able to use the bathroom where the grout was applied because a few things are still missing.
Unfortunately, I chose the wrong colour. I wanted a dark blue, but I like it this way too.
I hope the grout is durable and does not change colour.
The smell was not as unpleasant as the tiler had predicted.

Yes, epoxy grout is highly versatile and can be used for ceramic tiles, porcelain tiles, mosaic tiles, marble mosaic tiles and glass mosaic tiles.

Yes, Starlike® EVO is a strong choice for natural stone and mosaics, because the joint becomes very dense and durable. With sensitive or highly absorbent natural stones I always recommend a small test area, so that the surface and colour look exactly as you wish. With transparent glass mosaic, a neutral-looking Crystal version can be a sensible option, so that the appearance of the glass remains clear.

Starlike® EVO is suitable for fine joints in mosaic work and also for wider joints, typically in the range of 1 to 15 mm. This means you can use it flexibly on many projects, from wall to floor. If you are unsure about very wide joints, a brief check is worthwhile so that you really choose the right system.

Yes, you can use it indoors and outdoors. It is also a common application in practice with underfloor heating, because the joint remains very stable once cured. As always, the decisive factors are a properly prepared substrate and application under suitable conditions.

Yes, this is precisely why epoxy grout is such a popular choice, as it is very robust and easy to care for in wet areas. It is important to wait for curing to be fully complete before the area is permanently exposed to heavy water loads, for example in a pool. If you have a fixed installation date, our advice will help you plan the sequence in a relaxed way.

Epoxy grout consists of epoxy resin and a hardener, which gives it greater resistance to chemicals, stains and water. Cement-based grout is more porous and tends to absorb stains and discolour over time.

Yes, epoxy grout is generally more expensive than cement-based grout. However, the higher cost is offset by its longer service life and lower maintenance costs. On average, a 5 kg tub of 2K epoxy grout costs between €120 and €170 depending on the quality standard, plus delivery costs within Germany.

Applying epoxy grout requires somewhat more care and experience than conventional grout. If you are skilled with your hands and follow the manufacturer's instructions in the technical product data sheet precisely, you can carry out the application yourself. Otherwise, it is advisable to call in a professional.
