Starlike® Crystal.
Light becomes part of the joint.
For surfaces where a fixed grout colour would be too much. Starlike® Crystal is a translucent 2K epoxy resin grout with a gel formula. The joint visually picks up light and the colours of the adjoining glass mosaic – for a calm, continuous surface with crystalline depth.
The distinctive effect
No hard line. A flowing transition.
Starlike® Crystal is not colourless and invisible, but translucent and visually adaptable. This is precisely the difference: light can work within the joint, while colours from the neighbouring mosaic are picked up and carried softly onwards. Especially with transparent or artistic glass mosaics, this reduces the grid effect and brings out more of the material’s character.
Colour-adaptive
The joint recedes visually and takes on shades from the adjoining tesserae, rather than dividing the surface with a fixed contrasting colour.
Working with light
In backlit and brightly presented areas, the translucent structure supports a more subtle connection between glass, colour and light.
Technically resilient
As a reactive epoxy resin grout of class RG, Crystal is waterproof, stain-repellent, UV-resistant and designed for indoor and outdoor use.

Choose your desired effect first. The neutral Crystal effect lets the mosaic speak for itself. A finish variant, by contrast, makes the joint itself a visible design element.

Precisely pre-dosed: For a 5-kg bucket of Starlike® Crystal, use one 200-g pack of Shining Gold, Rusty or Bronze. Incorporate the entire finish additive evenly into the prepared Crystal mixture, following the current Litokol application instructions. The neutral Crystal effect and a metallic finish produce two distinctly different results – make your choice before mixing.

The crystalline appearance is not purely an optical effect. Starlike® Crystal combines ultra-pure glass microbeads with an epoxy gel formula developed for safety, hygiene and lasting surface quality.
Recycled Crystal Microsphere®
Level-2 technology with around 500 million glass microbeads per kilogram – for a uniform, dense and light-active joint structure.
Zherorisk®
Oxirane-free and without C12–C14. The current Litokol formula is designed for safer use and a lower environmental impact.
Defender Anti-Microbial
The technology inhibits the growth of bacteria and mould on the surface – a relevant benefit in bathrooms, spas and pools.

Starlike® Crystal was developed for transparent and artistic glass mosaics with fine joints. Its effect is strongest when material and light work together.

Brief answers
Frequently asked questions about Starlike® Crystal
Is Starlike® Crystal completely transparent?
No. Crystal is translucent: it allows light to play within the joint and visually picks up colours from the adjoining mosaic tesserae. The result therefore always depends on the material, joint width, substrate and lighting.
When is Crystal better than a fixed grout colour?
Especially with transparent, artistic or strongly iridescent glass mosaics. A fixed colour can unintentionally frame individual tesserae, whereas Crystal keeps the transitions visually calmer.
How do I choose between neutral, Bronze, Rusty and Shining Gold?
Neutral puts the mosaic and its interaction with light in the foreground. Bronze feels warm and understated, Rusty darker and more distinctive, Shining Gold brighter and more radiant. If unsure, send Tiamont photos of the material taken in daylight.
Can Starlike® Crystal be used in a pool?
The product is impermeable to water and intended for suitable indoor and outdoor applications. In a pool, however, substrate, waterproofing, adhesive, mosaic, water chemistry and grout must be planned as a complete system and installed professionally.
How long does the mixture remain workable?
According to Litokol, the pot life is approximately one hour at +23 °C. Higher temperatures can shorten the working time. The current technical data sheet for the delivered product always takes precedence.
The on-screen representation of surface samples is not a binding colour reference. Technical values apply under the stated test conditions and may be affected by temperature, substrate and site conditions. The current technical data sheet, packaging instructions and professional application are decisive.
