This gel cleaner is your reliable partner when it comes to removing epoxy resin haze and residues from wall coverings. As part of the system around the Starlike Evo grout, it is offered in the Tiamont shop and was developed specifically to work with Starlike® EVO and Litosil. This ensures that joints and silicone joints are not attacked but thoroughly cleaned.
Key properties
• Strongly adhering gel: thanks to its high viscosity, the cleaner can be applied evenly even on vertical surfaces and stays in place. This guarantees a long contact time and optimum cleaning performance.
• Gentle yet effective system: Starlike® Wall Care is water-based and non-aggressive. It can even be used on polished marble as well as lapped or polished porcelain stoneware without attacking the surfaces.
• Versatile application: as a concentrated gel cleaner, it removes epoxy resin haze and residues from grouts such as Starlike® PRO or Crystal. At the same time it acts as a degreaser and wax remover and can be diluted with water if required.
• In harmony with Starlike® Evo and Litosil: the cleaner was developed specifically for use in combination with Starlike® Evo grout and Litosil silicone. The formulation is matched so that epoxy resin residues are reliably removed without damaging the joints.
Areas of application
Starlike® Wall Care was developed for the demanding cleaning of vertical coverings. It is suitable for:
- Ceramic tiles of all kinds, including delicate surfaces such as lapped ceramics, glass or ceramic mosaics as well as natural stone.
- High-quality mosaics and natural stone, including polished surfaces.
- Removing epoxy haze after grouting with Starlike® grouts.
- Removing dirt, grease, wax and organic deposits on natural or artificial stone when used diluted with water (30 % cleaner in water).
Professional tradespeople benefit in particular from the secure adhesion and the broad range of applications. Thanks to the spray bottle, the cleaner can be applied effortlessly, so that even hard-to-reach spots and vertical surfaces are treated reliably.
Application instructions
- Preparation: shake well before use and spray the gel neat, without dilution, onto the surface to be cleaned. For epoxy haze, the grout should have set sufficiently, normally after 24 hours at 20 °C to 25 °C.
- Application: spread the gel evenly with a white Starlike pad or felt. Thanks to its high viscosity, it also stays in place on vertical surfaces.
- Contact time: leave to act for 10 to 15 minutes depending on the degree of soiling. Mechanical rubbing during this time makes it easier to remove the residues.
- Cleaning: pick up the cleaning solution with a damp sponge, then rinse thoroughly with clean water and wipe dry. If the rinsing water evaporates, streaks can form again.
- Repeat if necessary: if residues are still visible, repeat the procedure.
