Starlike® Crystal | when joints play with light
Starlike® Crystal is an innovative, translucent gel-based epoxy grout. It allows light to travel through the joint, making it ideal for backlit zones and anywhere the play of light, visual depth and a crystal-clear joint appearance take centre stage. The joints do not look "coloured in"; instead they merge with the material and create genuine light effects rather than matt lines.
What is inside? Ultra-pure glass microspheres, around 500 million per kg. They guarantee an extremely even, smooth surface and a refined, crystal-clear appearance. Add to this strong material properties: waterproof, stain-repellent and UV-resistant, so it is hard-wearing in everyday use and stable in the sun.
Starlike® Design Finishes
The finishes are precisely matched to the 5 kg unit of Starlike® Crystal.
Starlike® Crystal also serves as a transparent, neutral base for selected Starlike® Design Finishes, opening up additional creative possibilities. The metallic finishes Shining Gold, Rusty, Bronze, Copper and Platinum from Litokol in particular give the surface a refined metallic character depending on the additive, from a warm shimmer to a bold, expressive statement. Starlike® Crystal thus becomes not only a translucent grout, but also the base for exceptional decorative effects. Areas of application
Suitable for joint widths from 0 to 3 mm with mosaics, glass mosaics, tiles, porcelain stoneware, large-format slabs and selected natural stone surfaces. Starlike® Crystal looks particularly beautiful wherever joints should not appear heavy, but instead frame the surface finely, clearly and with quality, from richly detailed mosaic pictures to large-format tiles with elegantly emphasised lines.
Suitable for bathroom, spa and pool as well as for backlit panels, decorative wall settings and exclusive designs in which the surface becomes a magical focal point through light, depth and material effect.

Substrate: Prepare clean, dry and load-bearing, with joints completely free.
Mixing: Add component B completely to component A and mix with an electric stirrer at low speed, approx. 300 rpm, until a smooth, creamy and lump-free compound is obtained, then stir again briefly.
Application: Work in with a rubber float diagonally to the direction of the joints, fill the joints completely and remove any excess.
Cleaning: Clean the surface immediately while still fresh with a little water, a felt pad and a sponge.
Residual film: Remove residues after approx. 24 hours, at the latest within 48 hours, with a suitable film remover, for example Starlike® Care on floors and Starlike® Wall Care on walls.
Pot life: Approx. over 90 minutes. High temperatures shorten the working time.
Foot traffic: After approx. 24 hours.
Fully loadable: After approx. 5 days, for swimming pools after approx. 7 days.
Application temperature: +10 °C to +30 °C
