Lava combines strips 15 mm wide and of varying lengths to create a distinctive wall surface. The 10 mm thick composition is mesh-mounted on the back and draws its character from the following material proportions.
Natural stone and glass mosaic: 15% Grey Flannel Colibrì glass mosaic, 15% Hermes Colibrì glass mosaic, 35% Nero Marquinia marble, 35% Bardiglio marble.

For professional installation
Lava is bonded and grouted using two-component reactive resin systems. Substrate moisture must not exceed 3 %; grout within five days of bonding, after the adhesive has fully cured and when the joints are dry. Acids and alkaline influences can adversely affect the finish. With Bardiglio, epoxy resin can deepen the stone’s colour; a suitable natural stone impregnation treatment reduces this wet look.

Fibers Thick Lava is intended for interior walls. As an accent behind a sideboard, in a recess or on a generous living room wall, the strip structure creates an elegant architectural focal point.
≈Design & structure
Varying strip lengths and the individual material blend give Lava a calm rhythm. Light falling from the side makes the surfaces and fine joint pattern particularly visible.

Carefully coordinated grout completes the mosaic design.
Litokol Starlike® EVO offers coloured epoxy resin grouts for natural stone mosaics. A compatibility test takes the individual stone surface into account.
05 · Installation
Precision that
preserves beauty.
- Prepare the substratePrepare a level, sound and clean substrate. Lay out the material composition across the surface before installing it and align the strip pattern.
- Bond with epoxy resinFor a light-coloured reactive adhesive bed, we recommend Litokol PowerGel® Pro Max Ultra Bianco: a white two-component (2K) epoxy resin adhesive of class R2 T.
- Align the mosaic designSet the mesh side into the adhesive. Align the sheets and joint pattern evenly and press down with a rubber float. The mesh backing remains in the adhesive bed.
- Complete the finishFill the dry, clean joints with Starlike® EVO and clean the surface within the specified cleaning window.

Easy to care for.
Lasting beauty.
How do I care for my mosaic?↓
With a soft cloth and a pH-neutral natural stone cleaner. Then wipe with clean water and gently dry. This also applies to compositions containing glass.
What preserves the surface?↓
Avoid acidic limescale removers, abrasive cleaners and rough sponges. Clean natural stone gently so that polished and antiqued surfaces retain their respective character.
