Craftsmanship, material and effect

The mosaic is made of high-quality Smalto glass with a metallically treated backing. SICIS® describes its mosaics as a combination of selected materials, craftsmanship and specialised production systems. It is precisely this that creates the exceptional depth for which the Colibrì collection is known. When entire pool, spa or bathroom surfaces are designed with this finish, water does not simply appear blue or green, but alive, multi-layered and architecturally staged. Depth and rhythm merge and give the water an exceptionally vivid presence that continually reinterprets the room.

Areas of application

Suitable for interior and exterior walls, interior and exterior floors as well as wet areas. This SICIS® glass mosaic is therefore ideal for exclusive bathrooms, showers, spa areas, steam rooms, pool surfaces and high-quality wellness concepts. As a refined surface for individually designed vanity areas, the Colibrì collection also looks exceptionally elegant, particularly in combination with elegant glass basins. For walking zones with an increased risk of slipping, such as directly beside the pool, the appropriate slip-resistant version should be considered.

The Colibrì glass mosaics are face-mounted with a special paper. This leaves the backing free for bonding, allowing precise installation and a particularly clean overall surface.

For these glass mosaics, SICIS® recommends the high-quality reactive two-component epoxy grouting system from LITOKOL®: Starlike® EVO and Starlike® Pro, also available from Tiamont.

A carefully matched grout colour brings out the depth, the shine and the colour effect of this mosaic particularly beautifully.
